With a career spanning 20 years Chris Lewis is one of New Zealand's leading automotive photographers. Possessing a formidable technical and lighting knowledge, Chris is renowned for a cool head and attempting to achieve as much as possible in camera whilst openly endorsing the added value of current Photoshop compositing techniques, and the emerging trend in cgi creations.

Born in England Chris migrated to New Zealand in 1962 and became interested in photography whilst working in Electron Microscopy at Auckland Medical School.

Today Chris works from his studio, an old converted Buffalo Hall, in the central suburb of Ponsonby often accompanied by his Golden Retriever, "Cal". Chris shoots cars, boats, still life, aerial work and landscapes for a wide range of local and international clients.
