Julie-Maree left New Zealand in 1998 to travel and begin her photographic career as an assistant in London. She spent 4 1/2 years assisting some of the world's best Advertising Photographers gaining valuable skills and experience.

Since returning home to New Zealand Julie-Maree has become a Photographer in her own right, specialising in still life. It is her interest in natures details and the challenge of taking the so called 'mundane' of everyday objects to create beauty that Julie-Maree enjoys most.
Prior to travelling overseas Julie-Maree studied at the Auckland Institute of Technology and holds a Degree in Graphics and Design with photography major. This background is evident in the strong graphic elements to her work.

Her photographs have won awards and been featured in several group exhibitions both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Outside of work Julie-Maree enjoys spending time outdoors and loves to travel.
