Mark completed a Graphics and Design degree in 1996 at Auckland University of Technology, specialising in photography. After graduating, he was introduced to a high profile US photographer which led to a rigorous 6 month internship in New York City.
This valuable experience gave him the opportunity to work with more of the worlds best advertising photographers in England. Mark worked there as an assistant for 5 years and travelled the globe as he learnt his trade. He now regularly works for editorial, design and advertising clients around the world.

Mark's work has a very unique style. With his design background and sensibility, he strives for his photographs to be graphic in nature and finely balanced in composition and tone. His photography likes to question scale and realism, often playing with notions of abstraction.

Marks photographs have won awards from The Royal Photographic Society and the AOP in London, as well as featuring regularly in the Communication Arts Photo Annuals. In 2007, Mark was one of 4 short-listed for the AOP Bursary Award.
