Tim White is one of the most respected names in photography in New Zealand today. He is noted as the one of the 13 most influential creative celebrities in New Zealand to watch and his work is regularly publicized and admired. His foray into the field began in London in the late 80’s.
After 11 years shooting in London, developing his talent for shooting celebrities, people, beauty and fashion for magazines like British Vogue, Seventeen, The Face, The Times and advertising clients such as Liz Claybourne , Aveda and Euro Disney he relocated to Sydney, Australia in 2001. Sydney client’s ranged from fashion companies like Country Road to advertising clients like the Bank Of NSW, and during this time he was continuing his editorial work for magazines like Harpers Bazaar and Noise Magazine as well as exhibiting his first solo gallery show from his "Signs of Life" book project.
In 2005 he returned home to New Zealand to start a new book project "True North" adding to existing "personal documentary" and lifestyle photography projects including "Havana" and "United States". Whilst shooting for some of the biggest names in the business, his fashion and commercial work relate’s heavily to his personal "documentary style" work and his international editorial commissions for L'uomo Vogue and Time Magazine New York keep him constantly traveling the globe.
“Tim’s humility, unpretentious nature and genuine passion for exposing the reality and humanity in a moment are what make his work great.” (Remix Mag)
