In 2005 he returned home to New Zealand to start a book project which eventually turned into the book True North and corresponding documentary film Whakarongomaikio , Listen (towards) ambience , which has just been released as a book and film , adding to existing "personal documentary" and lifestyle photography projects including "Havana" and "United States".
